Copper Vows — Arizona Wedding Officiant FAQ | Ceremonies, Booking, and Planning Tips

Because even simple questions deserve beautiful answers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most Asked: Can we write our own vows? • Do you lead rehearsals? • What makes Copper Vows different?

As a Phoenix-based wedding officiant, I created this page to answer the questions couples ask most while planning their Arizona wedding or elopement. Every answer is designed to make things simple, calm, and stress-free. If you don’t see your question here, just ask — I’m happy to help.

Planning & Process

Can we write our own vows?

Absolutely. I’ll coach you on length, tone, and pacing so they land beautifully — heartfelt without the cringe. See Ceremony Packages.

Do you lead rehearsals?

Yes. Rehearsal leadership is included with the Copper and Skyline packages so everyone knows where to be and when to breathe.

Can we include our kids or pets?

Of course. Whether it’s a family reading, unity ritual, or a four-legged ring bearer, I’ll help make their part meaningful and natural.

Booking & Packages

Do you require a retainer?

Yes — a non-refundable retainer secures your date and applies toward your total. The remaining balance is due seven days before your ceremony. Read Terms.

Can you hold a date while we decide?

I can hold a tentative spot for 48 hours, but it’s officially yours once the retainer is received. Fairness matters when multiple couples ask about the same day.

What happens if you have an emergency?

In the rare case something unexpected happens, I have a trusted network of licensed officiants who share my professionalism and warmth. You’ll never be left without someone to make your “I do” moment official.

Day-Of & Logistics

Where do we get our marriage license?

Marriage licenses are issued by the Clerk of the Superior Court in any Arizona county. You both must appear with valid ID, and the license is valid statewide for 12 months. Ask for License Guidance.

Do we need witnesses?

Yes — Arizona requires two witnesses over 18 years old to sign your marriage license. If you’re eloping privately, I can help coordinate witnesses.

What if it rains or plans change last-minute?

I’ll help you pivot with calm and flexibility — backup plans are always part of the strategy so your moment still feels beautiful.

Style & Inclusivity

What’s your ceremony style?

Warm, modern, and story-driven. Real emotion, room for laughter, zero over-the-top theatrics. The goal is simple: it should feel like you.

Do you officiate for LGBTQ+ couples?

Joyfully, yes. Inclusive and respectful, always. Every love story is welcome here.

Why Couples Choose Copper Vows

How much does a wedding officiant cost in Arizona?

Packages start at $125 for intimate elopements and scale with ceremony length, travel, and customization. Every quote is transparent — no hidden fees, no surprises. View Packages.

Can we meet before booking?

Absolutely. I offer consultation calls or quick video chats so you can make sure the energy feels right. Chemistry matters — you should feel completely comfortable with your officiant. Schedule a Call.

Do you help with vow writing or stage nerves?

Yes! I’ll guide you on how to write and deliver vows that sound natural, confident, and true to your voice — zero stage fright required.

What makes Copper Vows different?

I blend storytelling, presence, and polish. You get more than an officiant — you get someone who listens, crafts, and delivers a moment that feels effortless, genuine, and unforgettable. That’s the Copper Vows difference.
